Welcome to my blog. Here, I will post photos, stories, events, and new work to share. Enjoy, and please feel free to leave a comment.
Opening this week: Women at Work is a new group show at the Topanga Canyon Gallery. Patrick is proud to exhibit a collection of photographs featuring working women, not romanticized or feminized, but interesting and beautiful in their daily state. His photos hang alongside artists Idelle Okman Tzybir, Zoe Topsfield, and Carole Carpenter- working, respectively, in metal, glass, and silk, the three women create art with their chosen elements that are essential to what the viewer experiences in the art itself.
Patrick, the only male artist showing in Women at Work, exhibits a collection of images of women doing physical work to maintain their lives and families- a frequent topic for his photography, and debuting 2 new pieces. He illustrates his subjects as genuine and unadorned- real women.
Having Patrick's images, side by side with the work of Carole, Zoe, and Idelle, is intended to invite the visitor to see the soul of all these women through their work.
Women at Work runs at Topanga Canyon Gallery From April 18- May 13, with a reception on Saturday, May 28 from 4-7pm.

The weather may not have been on our side, but the Calabasas Fine Arts Festival was going strong at the Commons, where Patrick exhibited, including some new pieces. Some of the favorite works on display were Indigo Hands, Lunch Cart, Estranged, and Boy with Lotus- which caught the attention of a special customer: 16-year old Alex, an aspiring artist and the newest owner of the matted print!
Thanks to all who came out and braved the rain! The show was a great success, and a lot of fun.
Patrick's home studio will be a stop on the 2017 annual Topanga Canyon Studio Tour again this year - with 4 guest artists! Patrick will be showing a lot of new pieces along with favorites. Four other artists will be sharing the bearutiful venue with their oil paintings, glass sculture and unique jewlery. The Tour takes place June 3 from 10 - 5 and June 4, from 11 - 5. Tketing and show inforamtion can be found at the Topanga Canyon Gallery website.
If you are busy that weekend, please join Patrick at the Calabasas Commons where he is showing at the Calabasas Art Festival May 6 and 7.
